Since 2017 I have been working as a freelance journalist and writer for international newspapers and magazines. I also own a writing agency, and a photography business in the UK, Laurine.co.uk

Many cultural adventures have shaped me and my writing. Before settling down in the UK in late 2018, I’ve lived in Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. I completed my bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Amsterdam and my master’s in investigative journalism at Gothenburg University in Sweden. I graduated remotely from Johannesburg and stayed in Southern Africa for another six months in search of stories and to gain local knowledge.

Since then, I have written features about wildlife, science, travelling, sport, and health for international newspapers and magazines. I am mostly interested in exploring international collaborations and stories that cross borders.
